The Camperdown Robert Burns Scottish Festival Committee are pleased to announce that the festival Program is nearing completion and promises to be a Festival for the community with new elements adding to a number of favourite events returning.The Festival Chairperson Dr John Menzies OAM said “the committee are pleased to announce that Early Bird tickets will be available until May 31st and the Early Bird ticket is $80.00 which will allow patrons to go to all the performances at the designated venues over the weekend” this price excludes Festival Burns Gala Dinner $65.00 per person, bookings are essential.

Dr Menzies said “our festival musicians have now been booked and the performers coming to Camperdown include Eric Bogle and his band, Fiona Ross, John McAluslan which is a great combination of Australia’s best known Scottish musicians.  Luke Plumb and Kate Burke, Shane O’Mara, Peter Daffy, Maree Daffy, Andy Rigby and Nick Martin, Claire Patti, Geoff McArthur, the Likely Celts, Elonera, Corner House Band, Tuniversal Music Group, Warrnambool Pipes and Drums, the Lakes and Craters Concert Band and the Twa Bards”

Robert Burns Scottish Festival committee’s Schools program is happening in June with Scottish Dancing at Camperdown and Mercy Colleges, poetry and Art competition, storytelling at the local kinder in readiness for the festival.

A new look Festival Burns Gala Dinner to be held on the Friday 5th July evening is a separate charge but offers value for Patrons who will enjoy a 3 course Dinner, a Festival Showcase performance from the Headline Festival musicians and promises to be a fun night with the Traditional Addressing of the Haggis, fine food, good company, a Burns poem and more.

Saturday and Sunday will have free entertainment in the Town Square, Piping, and Highland dancing, Kids activities at the Guide Hall, Market stalls, Storytelling at the Library, Short Bread judging at the Court house, Golf Ambrose at the picturesque Camperdown Golf Club, come and try Scottish Country Dancing, Tours of the historic Masonic Lodge, and for a Gold Coin Donation visit the Camperdown Heritage Centre and see the Camperdown & District Founding Scots Exhibition.  Visit the Burns Statue on Saturday and Sunday at the Corangamite Shire Office.

On Saturday the Robert Burns Scottish Festival Lectures with keynote speakers at Killara and a Whisky Stills lecture and Whisky tasting at the Courthouse on Saturday afternoon.

Eric Bogle in Concert on Saturday and tickets will be $30.00

Performances at various venues including The Theatre Royal, the Camperdown Court house and St Pauls over the festival weekend entry $20.00 at the door per person and Festival Finale Concert on the Sunday afternoon includes afternoon tea, Adult $25.00, Pen/Con $20.00 and Students $10.00

Early Bird Tickets go on sale soon and after the 31st May weekend Festival Ticket for the weekend will be $100.00 excludes Friday Night Theatre Royal Burns Gala Supper.
